Windows Virus Checkers

Viruses can damage programs, or even the hard ware of a computer. "Worms" are a self growing virus. The longer they are on your computer, the more viruses they create, and the more damage they do. Some virus type programs are spy programs that let's the person who create it see the key strokes you hit, explore the information on your computer, or even make your computer do illegal things which you are responsible for. These are programs that can come through items such as email, from "torrents" on the Internet, and from bad websites. It is advised to open email from only people you know, or emails that you are expecting from a business or school. It is advised to not go to or use "torrent" websites. Bad websites with adult content should not be gone to. If you are careful, and use the computer for everyday tasks, the risk of a virus is far less.

There are a number of ways to minimize the risk of viruses, and to remove any viruses from your computer. The Windows "Firewall" blocks other computers from going into your computer.
